G Flip already achieved platinum status in Australia with the two debut singles "About You" and "Killing My Time" (both 2018) and the now double award-winning "Drink Too Much" from the 2019 debut album "About Us", which the non-binary artist also achieved in 2020 with the single "Hyperfine". G Flip started playing drums at the age of nine, which has always been a major influence in the artist's songwriting due to his focus on rock rhythms. After a few shows as a session drummer and backup vocalist, G Flip spent 2017 writing and recording songs in his own bedroom, which led to the release of his first singles and debut album "About Us". After the debut single in 2018, the album was released in 2019 via the indie label Future Classic and reached number 6 in the Australian album charts. The top 10 single "Hyperfine" (number 7 in the singles charts) released in 2020 was followed by further single releases and collaborations with Mxmtoon, Thomas Headon and Filous, while "Gay 4 Me" feat. Lauren Sanderson became the artist's next major success in 2022, reaching number 11 in the Australian singles charts.
