Gigi Perez, born in New Jersey and raised in Royal Palm Beach, Florida, is an up-and-coming alternative singer-songwriter. After a brief stint at Berklee College of Music, Gigi shared an original song "Sometimes (Backwood)" on social media. The song became an instant hit, generating more than 18 million streams within a month, reaching #1 on Spotify's US viral charts and surpassing 150 million streams worldwide to date. She then collaborated with music producer Jennifer Decilveo and released her debut EP "How To Catch A Falling Knife" in April 2023. The EP included the singles "Sally", "The Man" and "Figurines". Following the EP, Gigi spent the year performing at various festivals and headline shows in the US, UK and EU. After parting ways with Interscope Records in early 2024, Gigi began releasing songs independently, starting with "Normalcy", her first self-produced track "Please Be Rude" as well as the latest single "Sailor Song", which has reached over 150 million streams worldwide in less than two months. She debuted on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart the week of August 31, debuting at #98, and continues to climb the charts around the world. She is on tour with Richy Mitch and the Coal Miners, opening for Girl in Red and headlining shows in New York and Los Angeles. Next up for Gigi is new music and a worldwide tour.
