At the end of November 2024, music lovers will have the opportunity to experience two of the most captivating Scottish folk bands live.
FARA and The Langan Band will be touring Northern Europe together for the first time, delighting audiences with their energetic performances and breathtaking harmonies:
FARA - Kristan Harvey, Jeana Leslie and Catriona Price (all fiddle & vocals) accompanied by Rory Matheson (piano) - are winners of the 2019 German Record Critics' Award and are renowned for their unique fiddle style and infectious melodies. With their latest album "Energy Islands", they tell the story of their native Orkney and address a hot topic: their island's contribution to the production of renewable energy.

The Langan Band has conquered the world stage since the release of their highly acclaimed album "Plight O' Sheep" in 2021. With a virtuoso mix of violin, acoustic bass, guitar and foot percussion, the trio led by John Langan wows audiences with fast-paced melodies and gentle harmonies. Inspired by the breathtaking landscapes of the Outer Hebrides, they celebrate traditional and contemporary Scottish music in a virtuoso, sensual and captivating way.

The tour is the continuation of the "Ceòlas - Scottish Music Nights "* series, which has been bringing the beauty, complexity and modernity of Scottish folk music to German audiences since 2023. Supported by the Scottish cultural organization Showcase Scotland Expo and the Scottish Government in Berlin, two bands selected by a panel of music experts give several concerts in Germany and, for the first time in 2024, in other countries in Northern Europe.
