In less than three years, James And The Cold Gun went from a garage in Cardiff, Wales - where the band's co-founders James Joseph and James Biss recorded their debut album - to Hyde Park, where they supported Pearl Jam.
That kind of explosive growth is reflected in the band's music: a loose, loud sound reminiscent of the glory days of 1990s alt-rock, when electric guitars ruled the airwaves. James And The Cold Gun's self-titled debut album is a nod to that era, but it's also a defiantly modern album that reclaims the sounds of the past for a world in desperate need of some amplification.
