The 23-year-old Artemas, whose full name is Artemas Diamandis, has only been releasing music since the end of 2020, but is quickly developing a distinctive alternative pop sound through his credible songwriting and captivating melodies. The self-taught multi-instrumentalist and self-confessed pop music fan is a disciple of the YouTube generation of songwriters/producers and was initially inspired by everything from 90s acts like Nirvana and Sublime to Weezer and Beck. Hailing from Oxfordshire and now living in London, Artemas has made the most of being confined to his bedroom in recent years, spending most waking hours honing his studio craft.
His first releases have already earned him the support of BBC Radio 1. His music has been streamed over 10 million times on Spotify alone. Artemas recently supported Rex Orange County at his big headline show in London's Gunnersbury Park.
His first mixtape was produced by Two Inch Punch (Rex Orange County, Dijon, Jessie Ware) and his more recent self-produced releases have garnered huge social media attention for their infectious and relatable lyrics.
In summer 2023 Artemas will be performing at UK festivals such as Reading & Leeds and Latitude Festival.
