Faisal Salah, also known as FaceSoul, is a London-based Somali artist who was born in East Africa. From a young age, Faisal showed a passion for music and combined his love of singing, poetry and storytelling to escape the challenges of life in the inner city. At the age of 19, he embarked on a journey around the world, using his voice to connect with different communities and tell his story. These journeys were of great importance to Faisal as an artist as they revealed the universal nature of human emotions and bridged apparent differences in race, language and environment. Faisal's traditional Islamic upbringing has played a fundamental role in shaping his truth, identity and spirituality, which he incorporates into his artistic practice. Through his art, FaceSoul aims to inspire others and create a sense of unity and understanding.
