Bubba Ho-Tep have been playing regularly at the Maschinenhaus in the Kulturbrauerei for ten years. Through various smaller club shows and festivals, the band played their way into the supporting program of indie heroes such as Brother Dege and The Inspector Cluzo - and thus into the hearts of the Berlin audience. Bubba Ho-Tep will be back at the Maschinenhaus on March 22, 2024, this time in a double bill with Irish singer Amy Montgomery and her rock band.
The four-piece band Bubba Ho-Tep conquered Berlin's rock fans with heavy guitar riffs and well-grounded blues. Their rousing shows offer no-frills heavy rock that screws its way straight into the ear.
After a long break and supported by new addition Andreas Schneid on drums, Eric Michaelis (voc), Conrad Heinrich (git) and Jerome Zilliges (b) return to the stage in 2024 with new songs.
This concert evening will be opened by the band of Belfast-born singer-songwriter Amy Montgomery. "Amy Montgomery is a revelation... this Irish singer-songwriter is well on her way to becoming an extraordinary new voice in the canon of alternative rock music. Uninhibited, raw and with a sound like no other artist of her generation, Montgomery has a rare power that distills personal pain into something heartfelt and liberating." - The Independent
Touring Ireland and the UK, she has earned a reputation as an artist to see live. Dressed in flamboyant stage costumes, Amy Montgomery is fearless and confident as a performer and singer. With a massive, charismatic presence, Amy and her incredible band deliver an energetic show. An evening to remember!
