Max Cooper has carved out a unique place for himself in the music world as an audiovisual artist with a scientific doctorate and an international reputation.
His installations, live performances, immersive audiovisual experiences, a range of digital media, and award-winning music videos combine electronic music and visual art with scientific inquiry.
"Unspoken Words" is Cooper's sixth studio album and the latest in his impressive catalog, which dates back to 2007.
Recently, he provided the music for a powerful video spoken by Greta Thunberg and Pope Francis, shown at COP26 to call on world leaders to consider climate and the environment in plans to revive Covid. Last year, he was the first techno artist to play on the Acropolis in Athens, Greece.
His other work includes commissions from The Barbican, France TV, AND& Festival, Waltham Forest Borough Council, collaborations with Zaha Hadid Architects, The Babraham Institute and L-Acoustics, and musical reinterpretations of contemporary classical musicians such as Philip Glass, Nils Frahm, Terry Riley and Michael Nyman, and pop artists Hot Chip and Moby.
His label Mesh explores the intersections of music, art and science through interdisciplinary creative collaborations that blur the lines between art, mathematics, film, choreography, science, architecture, psychology and spirituality.
