A wild live band, DITZ create forward-thinking noise rock/post-punk with a variety of pedal effects and influences from post-hardcore and noise rock of the 80s and 90s.
Their debut album "The Great Regression" was recorded by Ben Hampson (Blood Red Shoes & Tigercub), mastered by Kate Tavini (We Are Scientists & Nadine Shah) and released on Alcopop! Records. The limited edition Dinked vinyl sold out in less than 24 hours and received praise from Pitchfork, Der Spiegel, Steve Lamacq, DIY and Clash. The standard edition vinyl also sold out and was re-pressed.
Live, they are an impressive beast. in 2022 they toured with DIIV, playing festivals less than 24 hours after the drummer dislocated his shoulder, jumping into the lakes in the middle of their set and tearing fans away with their powerful and stomping onslaught. This year they toured the UK twice and made several trips to mainland Europe. They also played in front of thousands of people at festivals like La Route Du Rock, Reeperbahn, Great Escape, Truck, 2000 Trees, Hospital and many others.
To capture the energy of their live shows, the band recorded their set from "The Great Regression" tour at Louisiana in Bristol and will release it as a live LP titled "On The Bai'ou" in March 2023. The album features all ten tracks from the album, as well as previous singles and live favorites "Gayboy" and "Role Model," and is a true assault on the senses that gives a glimpse into the world of a DITZ live show. Prior to "The Great Regression," DITZ released their debut EP "5 Songs" for Alcopop! Records in 2020, their first EP "5 Songs" featured the singles "Total 90", "Role Model" and their cover of Peaches' "Fuck The Pain Away". This was praised by some of the UK's best new punk bands, IDLES and Slaves, and celebrated by media outlets such as DIY, Loud & Quiet, So Young, The Line Of Best Fit and many others.
An emerging talent of Glastonbury Festival and Green Man Rising longlisters, DITZ have shared the stage with DIIV, Sea Power, JOHN, Trash Talk, Drahla, BDRMM, Crows, Spectres and The Coathangers while performing at festivals across the UK/EU including: La Route Du Rock, Best Kept Secret, Left Of The Dial, Festival Transfer and Mucho Flow.
