On July 21, 2016, someone posted on a 4chan/mu/ board a photo of a demo CD he had discovered in an Oxfam charity store in Nottingham, UK: titled "D>E>A>T>H>M>E>T>A>L," allegedly released in 2000. The ripped audio files were uploaded to file-sharing sites and later to YouTube, where they began circulating on Internet forums. A group of fans banded together to solve the origin story of the mysterious disc, until finally a long-disbanded local Nottingham band called Panchiko discovered that their album (which was limited to 30 copies) had gone viral over the Internet decades later. By popular demand, Panchiko have reunited and are touring the music of "D>E>A>T>H>M>E>T>A>L" to sold-out audiences in the US and UK in 2022. They will self-release a new LP called "Failed at Math(s)" on May 5, 2023, followed by an extensive tour of the US, UK and EU.
