"The madrigal is a polyphonic vocal piece of mostly secular content and an important musical vocal form of the Renaissance and early Baroque periods." So it is written in Wikipedia. Five young musicians from Istanbul have christened their band after the madrigal - and for the past 15 years it's hard to imagine the Turkish alternative rock scene without them. And not only as a vocal ensemble. Founded in 2007 in the Turkish province of Kocaeli, the members of Madrigal quickly decided to further develop their professional career. Then, in 2014, the band's first songs appeared. Inspired by the sound of internationally known indie greats such as Tame Impala, Her and L'Imperatrice, the band most recently released the album "Senden Yoksun". And are celebrating great success with it, for example on the streaming provider Spotify. Madrigal are among the most popular alternative rock bands in Turkey. On Sunday, May 28, 2023, the band will come to Berlin's Kesselhaus for an exclusive concert. Get your tickets now!
