KENSINGTON ROAD have entered with their new album SEX DEVILS OCEAN directly at number 13 in the German album charts, inspire the national music press, run on rock radio stations throughout Europe and may count themselves to the select circle of WDR Rock Palace bands. Now the Indierocker go finally again on large Germany route.

Frontman Stefan Tomek says: „After the long time of waiting and uncertainty, this is now almost like a comeback. A comeback with a loud bang! We are insanely happy about the success and are looking forward to the next weeks and months and especially to our tour. We can hardly wait to drive through Germany with our songs and finally play live in clubs again.“

Keep your feet still? Stay cool? That succeeds with the songs of the Berlin band KENSINGTON ROAD only ice-cold guys. Everyone else is immediately hooked on the modern, international sound of the band, which skillfully bridges the gap between indie rock and alternative pop. Authentic songs that get by without frills and artifice – because after thousands of kilometers on the tour bus throughout Europe and countless live shows, the „hard-working band“ knows exactly what it sings about.

SEX DEVILS OCEAN - With stories of friendship, cohesion and confidence, but also stumbling, falling and getting up again, the new studio album of the five Berliners goes straight to the heart. Especially in times like these, KENSINGTON ROAD give the finger to all social and personal insecurities and always remain positive. Far away from common rock clichés, the band lures the listeners out of their reserve with forward pushing energy and a passionate live show. Real, authentic, no bullshit.

in 2015 The Wake Woods released their acclaimed debut "Get Outta My Way", promptly followed by 12 weeks of TOP 25 rock DJ charts, support shows for Deep Purple and Status Quo as well as a brilliant concert at the 40th anniversary of the WDR Rockpalast! Since then, a lot has happened around the Berliners: countless club shows, with "Blow Up Your Radio" a second album, line-up change in 2019, further tours with Birth Of Joy the Netherlands or the Austrian The Weight, among others, Deichbrandfestival 2019, finally then the full stop due to the pandemic - "Denkste", as they say in Berlin.
By no means has the band around the brothers Ingo and Helge Siara been impressed by the necessary forced break, quite the opposite. With newcomer Sebastian Kuhlmey on drums, they literally invested the last shirts in the Corona summer 2020 in Hamburg's Clouds Hill Studio for the EP "Remedies", only to immediately begin songwriting for the album "Treselectrica", which will be released in January 2022.
Ingo and Helge Siara's talent for this runs in the family, so to speak: their mother is a singer, their father was a musician and composer, and their great-grandfather was a renowned piano maker. The Siara brothers were infected with the rock virus as teenagers. Ingo remembers: "When I was 13 years old, I heard 'Get Born' by Jet for the first time. That had quite an impact on me personally. At that time, there was nothing like it for me. I went on a search, it all had to come from somewhere." In Sebastian Kuhlmey, the pair of brothers found the perfect collaborator to break new ground with their family business, The Wake Woods. "Each of us carries numerous influences and experiences into the band. We wanted to bring as much of that as possible to fit the new lineup as a trio sonically, but also to find new approaches in songwriting," says Sebastian.
With "Treselectrica", The Wake Woods seem to be shaking off the cuff with a banger of stomping heavy blues, indie and alternative rock. Driven by lots of fuzz guitar, the trio pushes a wall of sound in front of it, which provides the former quartet with a new and fabulously thick foundation. Three. Electric. But so what. Fans of Band Of Skulls, The Dead Weather or the Rival Sons can rejoice. The Berliners show themselves with "Treselectrica" more aggressive and experimental than ever, but once again prove their songwriting skills. Associations with the Arctic Monkeys or Stereophonics are not long in coming.
The new songs were skillfully staged by Berlin indie producer Fabio Buemi, who has already recorded with artists such as Billie Eilish or J. Mascis (Dinosaur Jr.). The Italian's penchant for well-produced punk and underground, however, provide, in addition to all the precision, a good portion of wildness in the sound of the trio. On top of that, the whole thing was then captured at Kreuzberg's Studio Wong, one of the hottest studios in Berlin for anything to do with loud guitars. "When we started writing for the new album we realized that as a band from Berlin we have never recorded in our hometown before. So this time everything related to the record should be made in Berlin," says guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Helge Siara.
